The Only Way To Fly....

Launched in October 2014, the Appliances Onlines Legend Blimp is 39 metres long and 11 metres wide - it's the largest blimp currently flying in the Southern hemisphere.

The Legend Blimp never gets deflated, and the 13-strong crew includes two qualified pilots, two licensed aviation engineers, a crew chief and a clerk, as well as ground staff that includes watch keepers and ground crew.

Currently operating in Melbourne, will return to it's base at Camden Airport late March.

A few years ago I had the privilege of taking the controls for some time of Sir Richard Branson's Lightship, when it was based at based at Bankstown Airport in the livery of Whitmans Chocolates (bright yellow).  A great and unusual experience after flying fixed wing aircraft and helicopters !
